Each term has a half term holiday of one full week. One extra day is usually added each term for staff INSET.
The Christmas and Easter holidays are generally three weeks and the summer holiday is about eight weeks long.
The Fridays before half term and at the end of the term are half days.
Please ensure that your family holidays are booked within the school holidays - perhaps one has to be on the 'inside' of school to realise how much a child misses if he/she is absent at either the beginning or end of a term. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

The terms are now named after the academic terms used in the old days in England. The names come from the Liturgical Calendar which used to govern the year. MICHAELMAS TERM is the first term of the school year. It is named after the Feast of St Michael and All Angels, which falls at the end of September. LENT TERM is the second term of the school year and is named after Lent, the long period of fasting that leads up to Easter. TRINITY TERM is the third, and last, term of the academic year and is named after Trinity Sunday.
