Parents' Association - UPS PA
The Parents' Association (PA) mission is to help assist the spiritual and social development of the school community and to raise funds for the school to be used to help enhance the children's education.
The PA should not be involved in the 'day to day' running of the school, any queries should be directed to the Headmaster or the Senior Management Team.
Each family becomes a member of the Parents' Association on joining the school and contributes an annual fee of £20 which is included in the Michaelmas Term account. Subs are usually added to the Michaelmas Term invoice and then transferred to the PA accounts at a later date. The PA holds a meeting once every half term and all members are welcome. The Headmaster is not a member of the PA, but is invited to all meetings to aid communication between the school and the PA.
Throughout the year the PA organises a variety of events for the parents, children and the school. Some of the following are annual events, whilst others we change to keep the social occasions interesting:
- Children's Disco
- Christmas Fair
- Dads & Daughters Film Night
- Parents' Party
- Children's Bingo
- Parents' Quiz Night
- Summer Family Fun Day
Parents please check the PA News & Events webpage regularly for information about forthcoming UPSPA events and for information on UPSPA fund-raising schemes.
Funds raised from events are put towards a variety of school projects that provide resources and equipment for the school. In the past the PA has helped provide an outdoor climbing area and stage, equipment for the science lab, interactive whiteboards, computers, books, a school mini bus, AstroTurf and lighting, the Woodland Walk and fitting out St Ursula's chalet.
We know that everyone leads busy lives with many family commitments, but we would be pleased to have your support in any way possible, either by volunteering your help at an event, or just seeing you there.
